TRAFFIC ADVISORY- REPUBLIC DAY PARADE

Attached is the traffic map.

Republic Day Parade shall start on 26th January, 2015 at about 9.50 AM from Vijay Chowk for Red Fort Grounds. There will be a related function at India Gate at 0900 hrs.
In order to ensure free and uninterrupted movement of Parade along the route and to regulate city traffic, Delhi Traffic Police has made elaborate arrangements.
ROUTE OF THE PARADE:
Vijay Chowk – Rajpath - India Gate - Tilak Marg - Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg – Netaji Subhash Marg - Red Fort.
RESTRICTED AREA:
Area bounded by Kautilya Marg-Kamal Ataturk Marg-Aurangzeb Road-‘Q’-point-Humayun Road-Subramaniam Bharti Marg-Mathura Road-Bhagwan Dass Road-Feroze Shah Road R/A Windsor Place-Ashoka Road-Baba Kharak Singh Marg-Mother Teresa Crescent and Sardar Patel Marg upto Kautilya Marg will be restricted area.
Only labelled vehicles of the invitees and vehicles of bonafide residents of these areas shall be permitted on 26.01.2015 from 6 AM to enter till conclusion of the Parade at about 12.30 P.M. Invitees are requested to follow the routes and instructions printed on backside of label to reach the parking lots. For the guidance of the visitors, directional boards for seating enclosures have also been erected at various locations.

RESTRICTION ON ROUTE OF THE PRADE:
No vehicle will be allowed to ply on Rajpath after 1800 hrs. on 25th January, 2015 till the closure of function on 26th January, 2015. No traffic will be allowed on Tilak Marg, B S Z Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg upto Red Fort after 4:00 A.M. on the Republic Day.
The cross traffic on the route of the parade at Dr. Dineshnandini Dalmia Chowk (W. point) R.C. Aggarwal Chowk (A Point), Delhi Gate and beyond will be allowed depending upon the progress of the parade.

SITTING ENCLOSURES AND PARKING LABELS
Invitation Cards/tickets have been issued for the invitees and other spectators. People are requested to acquaint themselves with the location of their seating enclosures and the parking lots.
Enclosures No. 1 to 17 are located on the Southern side of Rajpath, while enclosures No. 18 to 35 are located on the Northern side of Rajpath.
The Triangular labels are meant for parking lots 1 to 5 situated on the South of Rajpath behind the Water Channel. Similarly, Square parking labels 6 to 9 are for parking lots on Northern side of Rajpath behind Water Channel.
In addition, separate parking labels meant for “Park & Ride” scheme on same pattern i.e. Square for parking at Palika Parking Connaught Place (North of Raj Path enclosures) and Triangular for parking at Central Civil Services Cultural & Sport Board Ground at Vinay Marg (South of Raj Path enclosures) have been issued.
Invitees/ticket holders are requested to acquaint themselves with the arrival and dispersal plan of their parking lots.

PARK & RIDE SCHEME
There is ’Park & Ride’ scheme for invitees of certain categories. Officers upto the rank of Directors & equivalents, Service Officers, War Widows, Freedom Fighters & MLAs are to park their vehicles at the designated ‘Park & Ride’ locations (1) Football Ground of Central Civil Services Sports and Cultural Board Ground, Vinay Marg (for South of Rajpath) and (2) Underground Palika Parking, Connaught Place (for North of Rajpath) and will avail shuttle bus service to reach their seating enclosures at Rajpath. They are not allowed to go to the seating enclosures at South/North of Rajpath directly. Officers, who are issued invitation cards for Enclosure No. 5, 8, 12, 14, 15, 22, 24, 29, and 31, will now reach one of the two ‘Park & Ride’ locations identified at Football Ground, Central Civil Services Cultural & Sport Board Ground, Vinay Marg and Palika Bazar parking Connaught Place and park their vehicles there and avail a free ride on low floor DTC buses to reach their respective seating enclosures on the South/North of Rajpath to witness Republic Day parade. Invitees are required to reach ‘Park & Ride” locations between 0730 hours to 0900 hours. This facility is available only for those vehicles displaying “Park & Ride” labels.
For South of Rajpath, the buses shall de-board the invitees at Akbar Road near round about Man Singh Road and Maulana Azad Road near Nirman Bhawan, whichever is closer to their seating enclosures. For North of Rajpath, the buses shall de-board the invitees at Rajender Prasad Road on both sides at its crossing with Janpath.
After conclusion of the ceremony, the officers may board the waiting buses from the same points where they alighted and reach their respective ‘Park & Ride’ locations where they had parked their vehicles.
People can avoid journey at the time of parade in the proximity of the parade route. For movement in the city, following are suggested routes:

NORTH –SOUTH CORRIDOR:
Ring Road – Ashram Chowk – Sarai Kale Khan – I.P. Flyover – Rajghat – Ring Road
From Aurobindo Chowk – Safdarjung Road – Kamal Atatturk Marg – Kautilya Marg – Sardar Patel Marg – Mother Teresa Crescent – roundabout RML – Baba Kharak Sing Marg etc.
Prithvi Raj Road – Rajesh Pilot Marg – Subramanian Bharti Marg- Mathura Road etc.
EAST- WEST CORRIDOR:
Ring Road-Bhairon Road- Mathura Road – S. Bharti Marg – Rajesh Pilot Marg - Prithvi Raj Road- Safdarjung Road- Kamal Atatturk Marg- Panchsheel Marg- Simon Bolivar Marg- Upper Ridge Road.
Ring Road-Bhairon Road- Mathura Road – Lodhi Road – Aurbindo Marg- Safdarjung Road – Teen Murti Marg –Mother Teresa Crescent- Park Street – Shankar Road – Ring Road.
Ring Road- Boulevard Marg- Barf Khana Chowk – Rani Jhansi Road- Faiz Road – D.B. Gupta Road.
FOR NEW DELHI RAILWAY STATION:
From South Delhi:- Mother Teresa Crescent –R/A RML Hospital-Baba Kharak Singh Marg-Outer Circus Connaught Place-Chelmsford Road for Paharganj side or Minto Road- Bhavbhuti Marg for Ajmeri Gate.
From North Delhi:- R/A Jhandewalan via Rani Jhansi Road- D. B. Gupta Road-Sheela Cinema Road - Paharganj.
From East Delhi: Boulevard Road via ISBT Bridge - Rani Jhansi Road via Jhandewalan – D.B. Gupta Road-Sheela Cinema Road- Paharganj.
FOR OLD DELHI RAILWAY STATION (DELHI MAIN )
From South Delhi: Ring Road- Ashram Chowk-Sarai Kale Khan-Ring Road-Rajghat-Ring Road-Chowk Yamuna Bazar- S.P. Mukherjee Marg-Chhatta Rail-Kauria Bridge.
From North Delhi: Boulevard Road- R/A Mori Gate-Pul Duffrin-S.P. Mukharjee Marg.
BUS TERMINATING POINTS:
Movement of the City Bus Services will be curtailed at the following Terminal points;-
1. Krishna Menon Marg 2. Tyagraj Marg
3. Park Street/Udyan Marg 4. Aram Bagh Road (Pahar Ganj )
5. R/A Kamla Market. 6. Delhi Sachivalaya (IG Stadium)
7 Pragati Maiden (Bhairon Road) 8. Hanuman Mandir
9. Nigam Bodh Ghat 10. Budh Vihar (ISBT)
11 Mori Gate 12 ISBT Sarai Kale Khan
INTER STATE BUSES:
(I) Buses from Ghaziabad bound for Shivaji Stadium shall take NH-24, Ring Road.
(II) All buses coming from Ghaziabad side will be diverted at Mohan Nagar towards Bhopra Chungi for Wazirabad Bridge.
(III) All buses coming from Dhaula Kuan side shall terminate at Dhaula Kuan.
(IV) All buses coming from Badarpur shall terminate at New ISBT Sarai Kale Khan.
(V) All buses coming from NH-24 shall take right turn on Road No. 56 and terminate at ISBT Anand Vihar.
METRO TRAIN:
i) Entry & Exit at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan Metro stations will remain closed from 06.00 a.m. upto 12.00 noon
ii) Patel Chowk and Race Course Metro stations entry and exit will remain closed from 08.45 a.m. to 12.00 noon.
iii) Central Secretariat station will only be used for interchange of passengers between Line 2 and Line 6.
HGVs/LGVs:
HGVs/LGVs will not be allowed between Sarai Kale Khan to I.S.B.T. on 26.01.2015 from 0730 hours till 1330 hours.
TSR/TAXIS
No TSR and Taxi will be allowed to enter or ply in the restricted area after 6.00 AM. Those visitors who are coming by auto/taxi may use ‘Park & Ride’ facility to reach the venue.
Traffic police arrangements are for the guidance of the public. Motorists are required to have patience, observe traffic & road discipline and follow directions of Traffic Police personnel.
Security Instructions:
Invitation cards have been issued by name and are not transferable.
Do not bring electronic items like Laptop, Camera/Video Camera, Transistor, Digital Diary, Remote controlled Car-keys, etc.
Do not bring eatables, food packets, water bottles, cigarette lighter, match boxes, knives, arms, etc. more
