DTC - Unending Woes

I have been using DTC Services for last 6 years and have seen DTC's services deteriorating. I have personally written complaints and suggestions over 30 mails and have received only 2 responses. I have kept the Transport Minister in my mails and the Secretary to Transport Minister has an Auto Forward as also Transport Minister who instruct DTC to respond to complainant with copy to their Office. However as there was hardly any response from DTC, it is evident that DTC overlooks even Transport Minister. Following are shortcomings I have seen/observed which I share below:
1.) There is No Control or Monitoring of Buses schedule. You see 3-4 buses of same route one behind the other. While one is half full, other is 10% occupied and rest 2 buses will have no occupancy.
2.) Drivers have Marshall's to give them company. Marshal's are unaware of their roles and young marshal's can be seen engrossed in their mobiles. Drivers too keep talking while driving and Marshal either turns blind eye or if anyone objects they gang up with Driver.
3.) Some of the new routes touted by DTC who claim they did a survey to identify new potential routes are all a hoax. A few buses with new route numbers are seen going near empty. For general information the survey was done by DTC staff who were stationed as the bus stops for 2 -3 months.
4.) The One Delhi & Chartr App are useless. Most Drivers on long routes, switch off the GPS so that common public is unaware of the buses. While App shows there are no buses, you will suddenly find a bus coming along proving the app itself to be a hoax.
5.) I have written to DTC for refund of the 10% fare which I had booked through Chartr app for 2 months last year and had shared with them my PNB statement of daily purchase of ticket Day pass. I got a call from a person identifying himself as Subodh from Chartr who informed me that the discount was only available in purchase of tickets and not day pass. Whereas in Old Green stickers of Chartr Ads in many DTC buses, it says 10% Discount on all tickets booked through the Chartr app.
6.) Many Drivers don't even switch On the AC's in Red AC Buses. If commuters raise a demand, they tell them that they will not be responsible if bus breaks down. They cite bad condition of the buses for not switching on AC but when there are hardly any passengers and they are on return trip to depot, the AC functions very well in full blast.
7.) In TOI today, a Depot Manager of Kalkaji Depot has been arrested for demanding bribe from a Daily Wage Driver. So corruption is deep rooted in DTC.
8.) The New Blue Buses of JBM have very less seating capacity & the same not even completing 5 years are having break downs. So evidently either the servicing (AMC) is not being properly handled as also Daily maintenance.
9.) The new D-Switch Battery operated Buses have trained Drivers by the companies: Tata (Marcopolo); Ashok Leyland (Starbus) & JBM buses. However recently I saw that even these drivers are following the same style of DTC Drivers, skipping stops, driving slow to enable other bus to reach before them.
10.) Since most drivers are daily wage earners who have very good networking with other drivers on DTC, the Drivers have no loyalty to DTC and are not bothered to even do their bit to increase revenue. A comparison of Cluster Bus revenue operated by NRCTC & DTC's earnings on just 5 -6 routes would surely be an eye opener as to why DTC is slipping.
11.) Many Women who were elated at the Pink Passes allow them free travel now rue that when buses do not stop to pick them up, what use is the free passes? On Route 392: From Noida Sec.62 to Dhaula Kuan you will find buses jam-packed and Drivers won't stop at some stops to take female passengers. They stop the buses either before the stop or after it at some distance to enable people to deboard only.
12.) I wonder if the Touch Screen Bus Time Table thrown open at ITO is functioning properly - would welcome comment and sharing on same from circle members as well. more

No AC buses on Route 832 and 778. Terribly maintained buses. Windows jammed. Chartr app webadmin rude. The app's QR and route mismatched. Drivers won't stop to take female passengers. Driver stopped to take a friend from front door. Driver ganged up with the guy. Objecting passenger, deboarding, was slapped!! That Hayaanvi brute, a freeloader, slapped the passenger! Have written 14 complaints on OneDelhi and Chartr and only 1 response! Complaints deleted! Can't access them! Marshalls redundant. Mumbai's Switch buses are better, most disciplined. DTC corrupt. more
Shocking. I agree completely. Unending woes. Terrible! more
Delhi chose free service, this is bound to happen more
Im just adding to those points, buses are plying non residential areas despite bus stops are established. I'm staying in lodi road, near mausam bhawan bues are coming from Safdarjung to lodi colony 588 and 794 are not plying in Jorbagh route that place is residential area. I wrote email to DTC, they said that note down the timings of buses which bus is not going to jorbagh route. It is so indeed the buses should ply in residential area. Otherwise what is fun in running buses. If DTC officials want to check the running status of 588 and 794 they can.. Matter is very simple, why not they direct or instruct the drivers to run the buses in residential area. It is so ridiculous to ask me to do. Please consider this issue urgently. Taking DTC's early action is appreciable In anticipation of their action more
Excellent ๐Ÿ‘ I agree about yours raised issues You keep I am with you more
