In already constructed high rise buildings installing individual water meters per flat (similar to power connections) is not possible. It means relaying all the Pipes which is horrendously expensive. Such meters must be put up at the time of construction which no builder does. more

Yes, that would be the best step in conserving water in buildings having multiple flats. I have seen many residents and their Maids wasting tons of water everyday. understood that it might need multiple meters or relaying of pipes, but water is more precious. more
