3. Pollution by heavy diesel Vehicles (bus , truck, tempo ) of state is about 30%
4. Pollution by Vehicles coming from UP & Haryana passing through Delhi is 20%.
Hence multifold actions will be needed.
1. Only CNG Vehicles (bus/truck/tempo/losses) should be allowed in Delhi.
2. Electric Vehicles ( Buses / loaders/ Cars ) should be encouraged in Delhi.
3. NCR Vehicles too should be restricted if not CNG or Electric Vehicles.
4. Heavy Trailers / trucks coming from NCF should not be passed through Delhi. more

The trouble is politicians don't wish to make a serious attempt to tackle the problem, they just want to be seen as doing something. A few more points to be added : a) Heavily penalize obstructive parking as that causes avoidable jams leading to pollution as also waste of time b) Many stretches of roads in Delhi still don't have synchronized traffic signals leading to jams, snarls & consequent pollution. more

Yes Mr Davindra Singh, you are very right, it has to be a comprehensive Nation wide Plan and Norms Set, but somewhere one has to start. What is the use of knowing so much yet suffering to unbearable Levels. more
