I have joined several groups through Local Circle. The intention is to get into action with like minded people. I do not see many people even paying heed to such sensitive and alarming issues related to Air and Water pollution. Can i request each member to please raise the issues they are facing in respective localities. Else please care to comment on how you can contribute in helping other members. I am sure many members will agree and join me for next step. Waiting for your replies. more

Dear all Delhi has many trees, and we need many more. With increased pressure on the availability of land for plantation, it becomes essential to plant the right trees. To further this cause, NGO Compassionate Living cordially invites you for the release of the booklet "Pradip Krishen's list of 100 most suitable trees for Delhi NCR" at IIC Annexe (Lecture Room 2) on 16th August, 2014 at 6 pm. Pradip Krishen is a noted filmmaker and environmentalist. He has published two critically acclaimed bestselling books, 'Trees of Delhi: A Field Guide' (2006) and 'Jungle Trees of Central India' (2014). In this booklet, Krishen introduces us to trees, some common and some very rarely spotted, that survive best and contribute to the bio-diversity of the region.
