Delhi Waste Management vehicles

DWM...Delhi Waste Management vehicles collect the garbage from various Dhalaus in Delhi. They are not regular and drop almost 20% garbage while loading onto the vehicle and carrying it on Delhi Roads. Any ideas on how to ensure their efficiency & sincerity. more

Dear All, Just by writing or dialing few numbers will not really help either of us. to handle such cases with more seriousness, we all need to do some brainstorming on how we can collectively work and help each other as a group. I am sure, these posts will not be read or seen my any individual whose job is to ensure that such things are not done (he is a typical babu sitting in office and sipping tea back to back). Let us all decide and schedule a meeting and try to have some proactive approach by involving media and police. The purpose of joining this group is to bring some change, Our purpose is common therefore a platform has to be common. you can inbox me on (sumitsbj@gmail.com) and lets plan to meet somewhere in Sector 18 for a cup of coffee and try to bring like minded people on any weekend. There are brilliant ideas with each one of you, lets shape them collectively and make a stronger group and approach these public servants with more maturity, sincerity, and professionally. Regard Sumit Noida more
Practically speaking, however, has the problem as addressed by Vermasaab been solved? The answer yet is "no". Now, where do we go from here? The website as suggested by Menonsaab gives addresses and phone numbers of the institutions responsible for the job in Delhi and elsewhere. Mere telephoning "anyone" will not work, as mentioned by Ms Maheshwari. The Babus always find an excuse to ward you off to another department and the ping-pong game begins. The problem of garbage collection doubtlessly exists in every locality. In Koramangala,Bangalore, we had solved this problem by involving the Residents Welfare Associations (of every Block) to take active and effective part in having a dialogue with those responsible for garbage collection. That put a full-stop to the garbage-collecting-workers announcing on their own "increase in garbage collection charges" and also to their wayward work-discipline and behaviour towards residents. Maybe, Vermasaab can send his note together with the ensuing comments from members to the various RWAs through support@localcircles.com, so that this problem can be handled properly and effectively. The effect, in my opinion, would be stronger if the RWAs take a collective approach, even if it is to the AAP. There has to be a solution for this nuisance. Otherwise, why talk to "Keep Delhi Clean and Green?" I mean, it is abominable, looking at stray dogs and other animals and birds digging into mounds of garbage for food...... Best of Luck! more
