Delhi University Elections and Swachhta!!

It is really painful to see, that despite so much talk of Swachhta, no one in Delhi University, has even remotely given any thought to all the pamphlets that one sees strewn all around Delhi, entire Delhi has practically been plastered with election posters, all electric polls around colleges have signboards of different candidates, may public transport vehicles have been plastered with these posters!!!

I wonder, why the authorities do not apply their minds to do something meaningful when events like these are upcoming?..As the postering and pamphlets have been practically finished in general and state elections, why did not the authorities ensure this in these DUSU elections?....why the candidates were not made to give affidavits and undertakings towards this!?.....

If our students of today do not have this sentiment of swachhta in them, than isn't it our duty to somehow try and ensure that they learn it!!??.....

These leaders and citizens of tomorrow's India, what are they taking forward with themselves, in their lives?!

All political parties should have made sure, that their candidates do not indulge in this vulgar wastage of resources, and defacing of public property! more

Thanks Ravi Ji. Actually as pointed out rightly by Mr. Harpreet in the group, why does the university need politics and elected representatives!!??...the Youth wings serve no real purpose!! more
Thanks. Yes I mean college campuses. more
I hope you mean the college campus...and that also at designated places!!....as university campus again is a very wide spread area!!..... more
There should be a limit on spending including no. of posters, banners, leaflets etc. for each candidate, with none of advertisement & publicity material out side the university campus, which if violated election of those candidates should be declared null & void. more
Thanks for concurring with me Mr. Singh. Yes perhaps you are right about the youth wing!...Actually there is no need! more
