Correct procedure

Recently our residents' Welfare Association collected from a group of residents water deposit amount as payable to Corporation to obtain bulk water connections for the group and remitted the same to the corporation and obtained the connection for water supply. Thereafter water is also supplied. However, when verified in the corporation website it shows the service connection in the name of one resident but not in the name of Association. Will anyone please enlighten whether the transaction is procedurally correct and if not how it may be corrected so that all stakeholders may keep their rights well protected. Secondly is it the practice permitted under Tamilnadu Municipal administrations or Resident Welfare Associations in Chennai.? more

As mr Ganesh, has stated, all such transactions must be in the name of the residenyts Assn. Your bye law would have stated about this more

Legally speaking or writing the connection should be in the name of the association. Any individual who is not an owner is also not entitled to be an office bearer and has no locus Standi. Please verify with legal brains. more
