You inputs for Rail Budget 2015-2016

Dear Railways Circle Members:

With this post, we would like to seek specific inputs from you on Rail Budget 2015-16.

These are things that you would like Railways to immediately attend to. We will prioritize based on the number of responses for each area unless it is an exceptional suggestion.

You may consider the various aspects of Railways in your inputs like Cleanliness, Safety and Security, Reservation Systems, Food, Passenger Amenities, Station Development, Emergency Quota Management, etc.

Please ensure we have your input by Jan 15th so we can consolidate the inputs effectively.

We look forward to your participation!

Revenue Generation : 1. Creat Malls under all major station. Charge for the land. Development of Malls cud be by others. 2. Permit only Cabin bag in any reserved coach. Extra luggage to be in Luggage portion in the same coach on chargable basis. 3. Increase Tickets by Re 5 in local trains, By Rs 10 in Chair car, Rs 40 in sleeper coach & by Rs 90 in AC coaches. 4. Chain pulling is ok but charge Rs 100 for utilising the facility. 5. Toilets use should be on charageble basis. Rly or agency to ensure cleanliness. 6. Water bottle - supply on chargable basis. Expenditure : Each coach to have an attendent. (Aircraft has so many Airhostesses ?). I am not for RO or a Doctor on the train. We need to prioritise availability of doctors by putting them in villages 1st. RO can b considered but at the current level of responsibility, it will continue to be out of order. more
1. Food quality improvement 2. Doctor on long distance train 3. Auto allotment of Berth to RAC/Wait listed passengers when a reservation gets cancelled. At present , 'CNF' status is communicated followed by allocation of berth at the time of chart prepetation. Apprehension on corrupt practices in preferred seat allocation at the last minute. Also, if someone been allocated a birth which he don't want, he can't have any other options left for lack of time. more
1.I fully agree with the suggestion of Babu N. In fact all plateforms of all stations must be provided with R O system maintained by water treatment agencies. Railways can charge Re.1 for filling a bottle. 2. Railways must give more emphasis on cleanliness particularly toilets. Mostly they are in very bad conditions. you can't use them at all. 3. TTs are never seen in compartments having reserved 2nd class seats. Most of the seats are occupied by passengers not having reservations. It becomes difficult even to enter these coaches. more
Doctors a must in long distance trains. And sincere RPF for safety in all trains. Cops taking bribe should be punishef more
No allowing waiting list passengers in reserved compartment. Strictly to be followed. more
