Members of all political parties enjoying maximum perks on public money. They will wake up only when General elections are declared in 2024. They know very well that any freebie given now will never ever be converted into votes in2024. As far as concessions are concerned the age limit and % should be equal for male and female passengers. more

Non Pensioner Senior Citizens are the most affected lots. The Falling Interest Rates and sky rocketing INFLATION is killing them. It seems Central Govt is considering Senior Citizens as biggest liability, and is least bothered towards their welfare. These Senior Citizens have paid Taxes throughout their life and are still paying. Even Medical Expenses are INCREASING every year. more

Senior citizens concessions should be restored, so that more opt for trains which is the most environmentally friendly travel option within the country, too. Unlike the developed west with ageing population, 10% of our population are in that age group, so please restore this concession. 50% concession applies on the basic fare only! After concession train tickets could become affordable among the mostly retired, super senior or even senior citizens. They deserve that dignity. more
