WILL FOREIGN VISITS OF MINISTERS BRING INVESTMENT FROM ABROAD ?

Several ministers of Tamil Nadu government are visiting foreign countries claiming that they are doing so to get project investments in Tamil Nadu. Further, it is said that the ministers are going abroad to learn about development strategies for introducing in Tamil Nadu. It is said that more ministers will go in the coming days.

Along with the ministers, several other officials are also in the troupe obviously implying large expenses for the state government which is having record financial deficit. Only recently, a world investor’s conference took place in Tamil Nadu and there is no confirmed information as to what sort of investments have really happened.

Investors and industrialists all over the world are all the time looking for investment opportunities everywhere. With the communication between different regions about the happenings are readily available , everyone knows about the ground realities.

Even without the visits of the ministers, investment will come, if progressive conditions are created. This means that there has to be less corruption and bureaucratic delays and less political interference and less motivated campaign against industries and projects by opposition political parties and so called environmentalists.

Tamil Nadu ministers should make a opinion survey to know what the people think about the overseas visits of the ministers.

Let us not say that they have not done or learnt anything by foreign visits. They have learnt to dress up as per the situation demands and behave in the meetings. That is enough. The corruption will reduce and some consciousness will prevail. It is better that the tax payers money has not been looted and spent in the right direction. more
Very true. few years back Stalin as a mayor went to Singapore to study how they could convert a coooum like river into a pure water one . He came back and sunk a lote of money into the project to repicate the model for Cooum. We know what happened to the money spent- literally doen the drain.... you know what that stinking drain is... more

We votes actually don't realize what is in the minds of Candidates come with folded hands . When they are elected we go 'ga ga' and believe all what they say . Feel crestfallen when their tue colours are exposed . Let them not spend all money , at least keep some for the elections to come in 2 years . Actually the C.M. Palani sami Government is doing something as the Opposition is strong . And all the construction work they under take without hesitation. But wait for the oposition criticism and then do it to avoid any alegation later . If only they are pro acive ? Look at also the mistakes the present ruling dispensation has got into in various issues . Farmers issues and so on . This attachment the not the only one , one of the many . You like to have any more , keep your eyes open when our rulers ' eyes are focused elsewhere . more
