Why does government of India want to put cookies on our computers????????
I tried to visit www.egazette.nic.in and access a particular SRO but could not because a pop up always came up whenever I tried to access "Search" and it said cookies on your browser are disabled, enable cookies and i could not go further.
What are cookies in computing language or world, it is described as follows "https://www.whoishostingthis.com/resources/cookies-guide/"
If cookies are not important, why use them, more particularly on Government of India websites which are normally accessed by Citizens?
In such a situation what am I supposed to do.
Will appreciate all your help and advice on how to obtain information published on government websites without comprising my security. more

Why are you blaming the government for cookies? I think cookies are parts of the soft wares in use which has nothing to do with the website owners. You can apply the option of 'allowing for once'. appearing on the screen for a while at the time you click the web site to open. more

If you are not doubtful with the website then don't visit it. But if required then enable the cookies temporarily and after surfing the website / downloading of data from the website, when you close the browser immediately clean all the cookies from your browser. So that you will be safe. more

Govt want to spy on citizen if any have utilized the web info against them they can get you complete details to send ED, IT, and ST official for raiding your premises. more
