Transformation of Indian Railways (Improvements required in IRCTC reservation system software)

Please go through the attached document in which I have highlighted various improvements in the reservation software. In order to make it better I offer myself as an user consultant to help the IT wing of CRIS handling the system. I have been an alert and a frequent user of Indian Railway. Ms Shikha Jain's proposal of inviting citizens as experts is well taken. Thanks more

Mr. Malhotra has given good suggestions. Railway Minister should take them seriously and impliment them. more

Thanks Mr Kaustubh too for your comment. Yes your idea of linking Mobile No. is an appreciative one. These all organization with secure business portals are using this then why not Railway. more

Thanks Mr Vasan for your appreciation. I have sent these to Railway Ministry also when they invited suggestions for Railway Budget. Put it into this circle was with the intent to get a wider reach. more

Sri Malhotra, Excellent documentation of the current limitations of the system. All these are valid and I am sure that the Ministry will take this into serious consideration and give necessary directions to make these changes. more

Very Creative suggestions IRCTC should take a note of this resource. Mobile no can be used as login ID to register & all updates to be done through MSG also. Now many Banks are also attaching mobile for one time password and those reach instantly. The whole system should be integrated with mobile network also. Android App will be also welcome for booking. more
