Mr. Satish Shenoy - In washable apron, it is not just only concrete. Since there is no Ballast (Stone Chips), the load from the rails has to be transferred to the soil through a proper foundation. Hence, to make a washable apron, first the Pile Foundations are made below each concrete sleeper, so as to transfer the load to the soil. In 500 meters, there will be 750 concrete sleepers, and hence 1500 pile foundations. In the concrete also, it is not plain concrete but RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete with Steel bars). more

most people complain of being charged by irctc but their tickets are not booked it would be a good idea if the ticket is first blocked and then only the card is charged by irctc where in the customer is not hasseled more

Mr Abhay Agarwal - 500 m length of washable apron made out of concrete would not have been more than 100 cubic meters of concrete - why did this cost Rs 1 Crore? more
