Time bound service delivery act
In Karnataka there is an act "SAKALA" introduced during the period of Sri.D.V.Sadananda Gowda as CM. This act guarantees the citizen to deliver certain services in a stipulated time. Three years of Modi Government are over and in spite of several people friendly reforms introduced by the Government this also is of utmost importance. In Karnataka too certain departments like land revenue are not brought under the ambit of Sakala and one can very well understand the reason for keeping it away from this people friendly act. The bureaucracy and the political leadership in their joint venture still expect people to kneel down in front of them to get their work done, which is not at all a sign of a healthy democracy. It is high time to introduce Time Bound Service Delivery act and Electronic Delivery Act through out India. more

Before it is extended it is necessary to modify the same if required after reviewing its performance so for! more

Legislative is one of the three pillars of democracy, the other two being Executive and Judiciary.... Perhaps, after independence, we in India do not have any 'national leaders'... we have political party leaders only... thus, it is very difficult to have any Acts made with 'national perspective'... Local issues can be blown out of proportion for vote-bank politics.... Let us hope and pray this situation would also pass... more

Have anyone approached local MLA/MP & dare to ask "how much time it will take to implement", else how the government will bother about the people's problem. Government jobs is to manage a Vote for the next election and Bearcats jobs to make sure, People have to kneel for every job more

In Chennai, in several colonies we are no longer receiving piped water supply. Last August onwards we are buying water through Metrowater lorries because only foul smelling black water is being received in our sumps. Since ours is an old colony, since mid-1950s, probably sewage is mixing with the drinking water. Our letters to the CMWSSB have gone unanswered. Apparently they have done a haphazard job of renovating the pipes especially since the avenue tree roots have entwined the pipes making it difficult to replace the old pipes with new ones.
However we pay the water tax and water charges and are charged for each tanker load.
