If my waiting status is WL/1 There is no chance to get sleeper birth because TTE will first clear nine RAC passengers. In my view we should accommodate wait listed persons on RAC births. more

I have following comments on the suggested issues: SL-1 : Agreed only RAC and subsequently first Wait listed and then ticket procured either on line or issued from ticket counter to get confirmation from TTE. SL-2 Agreed . TTE with lReservation list of running Train to make reservation as indicate in SL-! . SL-3 Agreed. SL-4& 5 I agree. more

A good way to check corruption on the railways is that wait-listed passengers are confirmed by a separate staff, not the Travelling Ticket Examiner. With computerisation, all boardings should be controlled from the platform. Only travellers authorised by a boarding pass or some such system should be permitted to board the train and travel. The TTE should be the security man on the entrance of the train. He should be made accountable for the passengers. Airlines do this, why not the railways? more

Mr. Devesh Singh says, is it practical? Why not. Implement and see that it works. That is called accountability. Having come to India, I have noticed there is no accountability from anyone or any department. It appears you feel you have the right to be paid for a job, but you have no idea that modern-day jobs require multi-tasking. If you cant leave. Pure and simple! The points raised by Mr. Sahoo seem to send a valid message to the Railways. Look through the points and begin by implementing with supervision getting rid of the touts to start with. This is a big country with population bursting its seams, baby steps will eventually mean, crawling better and then running. When you believe that these small changes will bring relief to many passengers, it will show and unsolicited blessings will bring joy to all! more
