At the end of Chart preparation , entire booking details should be available on net. It should be such that Any vacant seat between two journey destination can be checked using mobile application. If fine such seat , you can occupy such seat & then you can get it booked online and TC will get online intimation of such booking so that at the time of ticket checking he can verify same. more

Print bar code on ticket which when scanned by handheld machine by the TTE on duty, the information should get updated on the main server of IRCTC. TTE shall not be permitted to allot seat at its own discretion. Based on the updated information of IRCTC server, the server to send automated message to the RAC/Wait listed passenger, giving its current position and passenger should approach the TTE with message for allotment and collection of any differential money, if applicable. The only way to weed out corruption is to make vacant seat know to consumer. This would help curbing the corruption amongst TTE as keep vacant seat information fully secret and later exchange it for cash more
