Query about Internet bookings
I am in Australia but will be in India early next year. I have successfully made about 10 internet train bookings and everything is fine except.... most of the Electronic Reservation Slips have allocated me a carriage seat or berth. Does this mean for the un-allocated ones that I have to find the carriage from the sign on the platform then in the mad push for everyone to board...find my seat number from the chart posted(pasted) on the outside of the carriage? Or has the system improved?
For example I have the a seat allocated on the return journey from Ooty to Mettupalayam but nothing on the forward journey on the same day. Just a booking status of WL/1 which I assume is 'wait listed'.
