Quality of Food Supplied by Railways
Recently my two cousins travelled from Ratnagiri to H.Nizamuddin by Goa Rajdhani Exp. They shared with me that the food quality was bad. I was surprised that in Rajdhani Pantry the Chicken dish was frozen chicken but was semi boiled they said. Even the Chappati was semi cooked. If this is the status of Rajdhani Pantry, I wonder what one could expect in other Mail/Express Trains. Isn't there any Quality check/audit of Pantry Cars by competent authorities of Railways?

I have always maintained thar Railway supplies filth grade animal food. Railway is running catering for contractors and their haffttakhor baus and not for passengers so I do not understand why are you complaining. Looting India is their fundamental right and no government or court can stop from exercising that right. more

Yes, there is a system of quality checking in vogue, which is on paper only. There is little hope of any improvement in the quality of foods being supplied by the Pantry on board. Hence it is better to get foods outsourced while traveling. more
