Porter System at Stations - Key Issues

Dear Railways Circle Members:

Please share your inputs on the issues you have experienced at railway stations with porters/coolies.

Once we list all the issues, we will go through Root Causes (is necessary) and Solutions so citizen driven recommendations can be submitted to our leadership to improve the porter services at stations.

Language scanning and weight slip can be made from scanner machine. the payment to be made for porter charges to reflect on slip automatically. which shall be paid by either google pay, Paytm OR CASH at delivery point at coach. the slip will be carried along till delivered at seat to pay. Safety of passengers while carrying and secured check of luggage is achievable with this. more  
This is a technologically augmented since originally a the manual system was the legacy onto which this would be applied. more  
Manual systems are being misused ,the right way is to get automated and digital systems for handling mass and without delay. more  
Malik garu, passengers are facing a lot of problems with porters in railway platform. 1. Porters are squeezing the passengers like anything. 2. Most of the stations if you require any wheel chair (where battery cars are not availabe even if they available they are using the cars who are offering them bribes for their luggage and passengers)they are demanding for heavy amount, even if you offer them they are bringing useless chairs not having proper wheels and foot rests because of no control over them. more  
THe porters fleece money from passengers. The police and railway staff are quite helpless in correcting them. In fact at times it appears the staff apart from being indifferent, are also in collusion with them. There should be a separate complaint book for complaints about porters. Once a passenger comes with aq complaint, it should be mandatory for the staff to record it before initiating any action. Thereafter the staff should attempt to resolve the complaint and record the action taken immediately. more  
Full fledged porter system is required with the reasonable rates more
