This facility should be on all the Stations and on the Platform. 3. The method of Announcement on the Railway Platform to be made Passengers friendly. 4. Drinking water facility to be provided on all Stations and on all Platform. more
Where from fund will come for implementing every suggestions.? more
Restrict of trespassing of unauthorised hawkers & persons for better security and safety this is the main reason for all the major incidents reported in last couple of years more
The best passenger facility shall be to deploy retired ARmy Units or CISF at all important stations and send RPF/ GRP to fights Naxals. If Railway Board or Ministers have guts, let them take the decision and prove they do not care for Haffttas. more
RPF Man start duty on first station and get delighted from the train on next station and go home in this manner his duty is over and he is paid. for his duty! Remove RPF system much fund will be saved. They have got hands in gloves with the goons. more
- There should be a separate entry and exit for goods that are loaded on trains. Currently they are transported on the platforms moving between passengers and is a danger to the people around. - There should be adequate sitting space created for travelers to sit. There should be a waiting area for people outside the platform and only those people who need to catch a train should be allowed onto the platform 1/2 hr before the train arrives. People who are waiting for a train should be seated in the common seating area - A/c, eatables, water, toilets should be adequately provided here too. - Ticket counters need to be more updated and care to be taken that fans / A/c is on at all times. It is often seen that the fans are either too high or switched off and people are lined up in the sweltering heat. - Coolies should have their badges with their pictures and registration number of them to ensure safety of passengers and their goods. - All products sold on the platform should be regulated and health, safety, hygiene and cleanliness should be ensured. - Ensure that products are sold at MRP and not over charged. - For food delivery services a counter or identified spot should be created in the waiting area so people can comfortably pick up their food. - Taxi, auto prepaid services should be started to ensure that people are not ripped off when they visit our cities. Similarly to airports there should be cab services similar to Meru cab / Ola cab pick up and drop points. - No vehicles should be allowed to be parked near the entry / exit of the station. We see a large number of so called VIP vehicles parked near the entrance creating a jam and blocking everyones way. That needs to stop. - Customer service should extend to ensuring that trains reach and leave on time. SMS should be sent to all customers travelling to let them know well in advance if the train has been delayed or cancelled. Alternate train ticket options should be provided pro-actively. - Staff at stations need to be trained to be customer friendly and accessible. - Sr. Citizens and infirm should have facilities catering to their needs. Wheelchairs, ramps etc need to be carefully thought out in discussion with them and getting their inputs. - Veterans / old people should have a special coach if travelling alone with an assistant / constable to help them especially on long sectors. - Stations inside and outside should be well lit and no dark and shady corners should be allowed. - People should be fined for jumping off the platform on to the tracks. Beat constables should be constantly on the look out for such people. - Make stations green zones with plants and shrubs growing between tracks. - Provide lifts / or a more convenient means of movement for the old and infirm to move between platforms. - Instead of toilets attached to each bogey separate toilet bogey should be attached for every 4 - 5 bogeys so that it can be towed away and another clean toilet bogey can be reattached before travel starts. - The inside of a train is really disgusting with dirty floors with left over food, dirt, insects dead and alive, fans filthy, benches or seats stained and dirty, windows that have never been cleaned since it was built. The whole train should be cleaned from top to bottom before the start of any travel. Pest control should be done atleast once a month on all trains. - Announcement systems should be upgraded and announcers should be trained to speak clearly and slowly to ensure people understand what they are saying. There should also be electronic display boards on each platform with information on trains and their ETA / ETD, platform details etc to help passengers. more
railway should intelligently use discarded coach material at station platforms. For example, toilet blocks of discarded coaches should be used at stations. Similarlty seats can be used at platforms. Scientific studies should be carried out to make optimum use of waste material instead of selling them to scrap dealers who pay haffttas and mint money. more
