OPS - A new beginning

Can we localcircles members request OPS to make a fresh start, get rid of the old way of politics, corruption and political -business nexus and start a new governance model focused on making tamil nadu stronger and better. eliminate corruption, improve law/order, listen to citizens and work with them. This will also create great example for DMK to follow if it wants to exist.

I want everyone's thoughts... more

Like written elsewhere, the policy of keeping the common man uneducated ( or poorly educated) , illiterate, and dependant on govt freebies is now yielding rich dividends for their corrupt political masters. Installing a Lok Ayukta should be the first step. Auditing state expenditure, control of corruption, reforming education, cancellation of discretionary powers, accountability to people of the constituency and most importantly, right to recall all should be implemented together before we see any results. more
in India, it is not possible to ignore illeterates (mind you they "persons who is unable to read or write" (but they can speak on any thing and every thing) and the so called "educated" illiterates, till they get elected. But the current scenario is still worse- they can not even rule with out their support. Rest of the things (eliminate corruption, improve law/orde eliminate corruption, improve law/order .............etc.) are not governed by the Govt. and it is people dependent. Unless we change it is not possible. Many issues raised as of now were started almost a decade ago; But those issues were used as a tool to threaten the Govt. (particularly set the state Govt. against Central Govt.) since a person like JJ (who is said to be a criminal in the eye of law) is not there to monitor them No one ever opened their mouth to speak against her. Since students and juvenile crime get a lesser punishment, they are put in the front by many vested innterets. State Govt. and Central Govt. is also testing their strengths in this confused situations. Many of us are litterates (that we are able to write and read) do the same and never speak since it will create problems to us and our families. Long live India Let OPS go by his leader - his ladder more
In the USA the presidents do not say that they will follow Abraham Loncoln Jefferson George Washington etc each one should conduct themselves as a seprate entity and if necessary follow the ideals of our beloved former president DrAPJ Abdul Kalam who has et an example of simple living with high ideals with blemishless character Theformer chief minister Mr OPS should hereafter follow his own set of plans for the uplift of tamil nadu and call for opinion of educated elites instead of depending on mass support of mostly illiterate people who know very little of corrupt lady under the name of AMMA People expect good governance with prompt response to redress their grievances I hope OPS will think over this and act accordingly more
Yes. OPS appears to be a village man, innocent and lovable. But he lacks courage to oppose his opponents. He should cultivate the habit of speaking in short sentences instead of getting locked up in lengthy sentences. It seems he enjoys public support unlike others in AIADMK. Let TN give him a fair chance to prove himself. On earlier occassions like jallikattu he has proved his worth. more
Yes, we should make a beginning now. Regards.
