land measuring issue
I have purchased a 1 bigha piace of land out of total 4 bigha now I want to measure it out and take my possession , I contacted lekhpal but he is asking for 10000 + rupees to do land measurement and do marking of my part . Please sujjest if there is any legal process can be done and what time it will take as I urgently want to do so .any online offline process for kanpur (up) more

Ashutoshji, Kanpur or Kalyan (near Mumbai) land survey is corruption. Normally you will never get it done. So just pay a bribe and get the measurement and boundaries done.Be sure to get doc done in one breath. Ask the vendor to mark the area. He has to give you the product...land. In Mumbai, we are an NGO and the court handed to us 12000 sq m of open land...supposed to be gardens... After a long case. we applied to the Tahsildar and the appln is lost. So one year is gone. They are simply not ready to measure and give. Their charge is 5 lakhs. From where will our NGO pay. Shortly the land Will be encroached and lost. There is no co-ordination between the HC , Tahsildar, police, BMC, etc. The nexus between politicians, goondas, police and Tahsildar is pucca and will break the back of NGOs easily. Dear Ashutosh. It is another story of sheer looting. It is seen as suggested by many LC members that u can go for alternatives but if u adopt those methods u cannot get the demarkation in the FMB and u cannot get separate patta in your name for the purchased 1 bigha. Therefore u follow the advice of CSNSJI. U apply to the town surveyor or Taluk surveyor as the case may be and ask for the filled up & approved challan for making payment in the govt.treasury or in a Banking Treasury. This is the only legal payment you have to make and nothing else. If you are confident that the purchase of particular property is from a genuine person and out of genuine transaction, leave alone everything and be happy nothing will come provided u occupy the place. o.k? more

It's a regular corrupt practice in UP. You please meet Tahsildar and make a police complaint against this Lekhpal. He will do your measurement. more
