Is T N condemned to have only actor Chief Minister

A few weeks back, Tamil TV media were feverishly discussing about one popular cinema star entering politics. Now, the media is discussing about another popular film star entering politics.

It is sad that the Tamil media think that the news about cinema stars is the most important thing in Tamil Nadu , next to agitations and protests, even by small group of people.

There is no media space left for people with knowledge and expertise , leaving an impression that the cinema stars and the fringe politicians are the only thought leaders in Tamil Nadu.

There are many people living in Tamil Nadu who have great expertise in variety of subjects and are acclaimed in India and abroad. Very few people know them since they are not of interest to media.

Tamil TV media is responsible to a considerable extent for the present chaotic scenario in Tamil Nadu , where undeserving people and extremist ideas are provided the centre stage , leaving the common man particularly youth with no worthy role models that they know of to emulate.

It appears that there is no immediate solution to this problem. There are people who speak about good things and have constructive ideas but there is no way that their thoughts can be heard. Neither the media nor the government is interested in them.

In the earlier days there was these matinee idols, because there was no other entertainment. But now we have the TVs with wide variety of shows and added to that there is the internet. Then still there are youth who pour milk on the cutout of their heroes, was this prevailing in the olden days also? No more blaming, let us make direct hit, our voices may be drowned in the din but keep it alive it may be heard sometime. more

People have craze for Cinema & film fraternity enjoys high level of adoration by most of people. Media caters to what people want, since they are primarily driven by viewership TRP ratings etc. Media has the big responsibility of ensuring that right information without any bias is given by them to people. The education should help people to sift through information and lead them to make sensible decisions for the improvement of the society. more

DRAVIDIAN PARTIES ARE MAINLY RESPONSIBLE FOR SO MANY PROBLEMS FACED BY TAMILNADU. THE PROBLEM STARTED WITH THE ENTRY OF CINEMATIC ARTISTS ENTERING AND GETTING ENCOURAGED BY THESE DRAVIDIAN PARTIES AND SO T.V. BEING YOUNGER BROTHER NO SURPRAISE FOLLOWING THE SAME ROUTE FOR THEIR OWN BUSINESS EARNING AND NOT REALLY WITH THE INTEREST TO PROJECT REAL PROBLEMS IN SO MANY AREAS IN DAY TODAY LIFE OF COMMON MAN. UNLESS PUBLIC AT LARGE REJECT SUCH SHOWS VERY DIFFICULT TO MAKE THEM CHANGE more
