Is it possible to transfer DDA allotted (recently) flat to another person.
Hi,
One of my friend allotted a flat in recent draw from DDA. But, he doesn't want to avail this flat. Is there any possibility to transfer his flat right under my name?

Your friend, who is allotted the DDA Flat recently, cannot transfer the flat for 3 years. However, you can enter an agreement to sell the flat to you after three years. more

you can enter contract or agreement to transfer after five years or whatever the mandatory period has been given therein. more

Only in case you are a family member, however in other cases he has to first buy the flate. I suggest to ist check if there is any restricted clause and secondly before buy check the construction and location otherwise u may have to repent. more

Doing transfer using power of attorney would be like buying in illegal colony. There is no legal protection available and court won't recognize your right. You "may" be able to get it legal after 5 years, but it is a big risk all the same. more
