Is it legally allowed to send a show cause notice to the Police Commissioner or the Supreme Court ?
As a citizen (like the PIL ) - can a person send a legal show cause notice to the highest authorities like the Police Commissioner or the Supreme Court - or are they protected ?

No one can send a show case notice to the Supreme Court in any matter. so far as others are concerned, a legal notice can be issued but not show cause notice. more

no, as a citizen we are not send show cause notice directly but we approach legal system to know the query. more

As long as the Government servant does not realise that the Public has a RIGHT to demand and the public servant has a DUTY to reply, the services will never improve and we are doomed. The President may reply your Show-cause notice and correct you if you are wrong but the Public servant may not reply you at all. more

Don't worry. Very soon the Police Quarters housing scam will send "Show Cause" notice to Police VVIPs asking why they only looted less money compared to other scams. more

Yes. Law has no objection; better convert it as seeking information under RTI ACT, alternatively file Writ Petition in respective HC more
