Safety begins at HOME , Railway authority should conduct regular classrooms/workshop on safety for there concerned field staff those who are maintaining rail machinery & equipments. more
Drinking alchol in trains should be strictly discouraged & penalised more
Solutions: 1. Avoid smoking in the train. 2. Avoid alcohol in the train. (one of the co passenger happily drinking in the 2nd AC) 3. Scanning machines to be installed at the entry of the station. 4. Passenger should enter the platform with a valid ticket. (unauthorized person not to be allowed into the station). more
Unmanned crossings can be fixed with sensors between 0 to 500 meters of the crossing, so that as soon as the train touches the sensor signal should on with red and the moment train crosses 500 meters on the other side automatically green should be in place with alarm. This may reduce accidents to an extent. This is not so simple which I can explain in detail if this looks workable. But this is doable I am sure and confident. more
Here are some of the points that i can put here. 1. CCTV cameras can be installed in every major station premises and platforms. 2. Inspection of railway tracks and engines at regular intervals should be made. 3. Regular inspection in compartments especially during night journey should be made. 4. Helpline numbers can be displayed in every windows side other than in corner of compartment. 5. Only authorized vendors can be permitted with valid ID proofs. 6. Trespassing by beggars and sellers can be restricted. 7. More trains can be provided for high traffic areas and stations to avoid risks of injuries and deaths. 8. Insurance cover and proper reimbursing of money should be provided to those victims of railway accidents involving negligence or mistakes from railways part. In the same way railways cannot be made responsible for deliberate self made human errors. more
