Gutkha fraud, idol theft- Where is TamilNadu going?

It is reported in the media that ministers senior IAS& IPS officers are involved in several scams and frauds in Tamil Nadu such as gutkha scam, idol theft etc. Money involved is said to be several crores of rupees.

Opposition political parties make lot of noise asking that the guilty people should be dismissed. But, people remember that leaders of such opposition parties have not been any better when they were holding posts in central and state governments.

People are watching the scenario with helpless ness as corruption and nepotism have become high in several spheres like government departments, schools and colleges, hospitals etc.

In Tamil Nadu today there are many bribe takers who are also bribe givers and probably this explains why the corruption scandals are not causing huge uproar amongst people.

The real sufferers are those in the lower and lower middle income group who are self employed or retired persons.

We are now clearly seeing overall downward trend in the state. Even in the TV media and newspapers only those with partisan opinions or politicians are mostly given space. Impartial and concerned people do not have any effective forum to convey their views strongly.

Even when we write in forums such as local circle, no one in the government or in the media seem to take note of this. Ultimately, the views of the common man have become cry in the wilderness.

Old adage: power corrupts, Absolute power Corrupts>>>>. If we see many politically elected representatives in various capacities, Govt. Burecrats of all walk including judiciary are falling pray for Goddess Lakshmi. If we see in History the kings used to have the Best of Courtyards and with out open discussions & debates in the chamber, it will not be made a rule. Today Transperancy and honest officials are very very rare, we can say near Zero. more
There has been lot of talk on ending corruption. To begin with why not a fleet of Army or Spl Police be posted at the Revenue office of the Government ( selected ones for a month and ensure the office is under watch by camera too) and the activities monitored ...first come first and see the result. Slowly this can be implemented in other govt. offices step by step.. more
Tamilnadu and its people are peculiar and immune to all types of corruptions since the commencement of Dravidian Era in a big magnitude. People satisfy themselves with a pocket of Briyani or paultry sum of money and morgage themselves for five years. See the IPS officer involved in Gutka etc are elevated and period extended at Night. Unless people raise upto the occasion nothing will happen more
People also watching, the central government backing all the state government malpractices, corruption, for cheep political gain. While pointing out opposition people, people will understand Mr.Modi's backing of all happenings in Tamil Nadu. For example after a request from Lieutenant Governor Mrs.Kiranbedi, Central put CBI action on Medical college admission. But in Tamil Nadu, all the looting are performed with the help of Central Government, especially modi's supervision. The fact of the day is people of TN wants fresh elections, but Central Govt. supporting all the stupidity. more
