Doors should be made to platform like metro train platform where passenger can enter only with valid tickets of particular station more
when employees are coming to office/work site with their vehicles, why not officers. Availability of Govt. vehicles to officers can be removed. For official inspections vehicles may be maintained at one central point for all depts. and can be used. 2. Supplying towels, soaps and suitcases, pens to officers can be curtailed. This will generate a great money. more
TTE for sleeper coaches can be reduced if you introduce centralised check-in counters in big junctions- so that no of TTEs for every train can be reduced. Railways need to introduce some equipment similar to ticketing machines presently handled by transport corporations, so that TTEs can view in that vacancy position and allot berths for RAC/WL passengers. more
Railway Bonds-Interest free can be issued -FV Rs.10000/- and these bond holders can be given preference in reservations-some quota percentage be fixed. This will reduce Borrowing cost to certain extent and also pave way for mobilisation of funds. more
Introduce Short distance trains which will help Business class, working class, Students etc to travel by purchasing monthly pass which will generate fix income for Railway and shall reduce burden on long distance trains. At the same timeincrease short distance fares in long distance trains so that passengers will not board for short distances. more
