Consumer grievance
Dear all,
I was fraudulently sold a Icici bank policy with certain bonus assured and for one time investment but in fact I was sent an 7 years premium.
Till that I was not knowing that the policy is being sold to me on commission besis by sun insurgence and not by the icici bank.
Now bank is giving me the reason that I have not checked the policy so they can not help me and the noida agent told me that she was calling me from the bank with proper record of my previous policies purchased and the bonus was generated on those policies.
I have some voice samples which I have recorded on call for my reference.
Can any body guide me.
I have on line approached everywhere including Chanda Kochar madam to abdomen chennai, Hyderabad,Bombay head office and lately Bangalore abdomen too but nobody would like to understand my problem.
Bank is using my money since last three years and regularly prompting me to pay the fine and fill all premiums but as a retired person(without pension) how can I pay nobudy cares.

You may check your terms of policy, according to that you may take-up your course of action from your end to reduce your losses if any, until we know the type of policy you R holding, it will be difficult to advise, However you may complain and registered your grievances against the particular Agents & ICICI with IRDA, as he may be the authorized agent to sell the policies for ICICI, It will definitely help you out once you registered a complain against the agent & ICICI from whom you brought the policy. In case he is habitual to do the business like this their might be other complain also against him. Having a copy of form filled up while applying the policy is always better, in case you do not posses the same, you may demand the same from ICICI. more

It is advised to pay the premium by reviving the policy else you will be loosing the first year premium paid unless and until you are able to prove beyond any doubt that the policy was sold fraudulently. It will be a quite tedious job and at the same time you are also responsible to a great extent by not adhering to the look in period specified. In my view there are only two options: 1. Revive the policy 2. Forego the first year premium paid more

Manmohan JI the onus of filling the form entirely is the responsibility of the customer. In fact I suggest to my customers and clients that they take or demand a photocopy of any forms they have filled for their records more

It seems you have ignored various points while taking policy. The form need to be filled up by the subscribers. You could have taken policy plan in writing. Then you might have got the policy and may not have even opened the documents. The policy document are returnable within 15 days of the receipt of the policy document in case the policy plan does not suit you or the agent sold the policy on certain lucrative promises. The policy remain in force and can be encashed in case the minimum three year premiums have been paid by the subscriber. more

Agree with Ms VijayLaxmi that Marketing does not teach you to cheat.In fact in good companies, employees are viewed seriously if they generate business by cheating. more
