Compentation on Cancellation of Trains - Contempt of Customer Rights

"Train No. 12987 of 07/01/2020 has been cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances..."
What is so unavoidable that it can't be rectified within this time span?
What is the compensation and interest compensating this insidental loss?
Please stop this casual attitude towards committed, Trusted and essential services like Railways.
This mau be treated as Sevior Contempt of Customer Rights. more

The reserved passengers should be informed about the reasons of cancellation and there should not be any cancellation, except for reasons for natural calamities or unforeseen circumstances. In any such occasions, alternative arrangements should be made to clear the rush by providing alternative trains. more  
when You travel By your own car Or Pvt. Vehicle , bus , flight for important work & meets in accident Or cancellation , what you will do ? Rly. is doing their best to run the trains but due to free & Total freedom, some 15-20 peoples ( leaders with their Spoon) Hold the track & Others thousands are watching bluntly. They can;t make resist or put them on other track under the next coming train. These types of protests gets cancellation of trains. Other is Technical & Natural difficulties which You can;t overcome. some times Lazy , Indecisive rly. Officers take easy route to cancel the trains rather than searching the other alternatives. under these circumstances how any body ask for compensation ? more  
It must be incorporated in the rule of cancellation system more  
As of now, the only compensation is to refund the cost of confirmed tickets without any deductions. Yes, there should be system of compensating the affected passengers at least by offering confirmed tickets in another train or in the same train on a different date at passengers' convenience. more  
Rule of refund for the cancellation of train must be same for passengers and Railways... If passenger cancels the reservation there are rules for deduction and refund. The same rule should be applied, if Railways cancel train, unless it is due to accident or any natural calamity, etc. The reason must be announced by Railways and SMSs should be sent to passengers' mobile...... more
