Coach Attendants in Trains
Its always good to have a coach attendant, who can do the following activities
1) Check Passenger tickets
2) Supply Bed rolls
3) Keep the coach clean and tidy
4) Garbage disposal
5) Stop unauthorized vendors and passengers from entering the coach
6) Support the needs of the passengers
We should abolish the TTE system, as they don't do any other work other than checking the tickets.. more

I think it will be good if we can do away with TTE system and upgrade the status of coach attendant who should be responsible for everything in his coach . I also feel that it will be good if one of the four toilets in each coach is kept exclusively for use by ladies as they feel very much inconvenienced in using the common toilets. Compulsory catering specially Lunch and Dinners in some of the train is not required instead only snacks should be served and rest should be left for passengers to manage themselves but adequate facilities should be there in the coach to accommodate resulting garbage and its disposal. To prevent overcrowding on platforms only passengers should be allowed to enter them and help of authorised collie/helpers should be available for needy passengers . more

When a train leaves a large/ mega city station quite a few unscrupulous elements join it. They constitute Eunuchs, pickpockets, casual lifters, short distance travelers boarding without ticket or with season ticket, vendors for eatables and curios, beggars etc. Many of these provide tips about potential targets for theft/ robbery to criminals operating in that sector. With regular monitoring of passengers boarding, the authorities can spot repeat faces and be more attentive about them. As of now also the authorities know about all the miscreant operators, but instead of stern action they collect their cut from them. more

Most of the TTEs are corrupt. They only manipulate the empty berths and distribute among the without ticket passengers for money. Sometimes they issue tickets and sometimes not. it's a gross revenue losses for railways. Whereas true passengers are denied for their right to avail the railways facilities. Unless we uproot the age old diseases of corruption from our society no changes with improve the fate of passengers. It is true that more vigilance is required to curb down such corrupt people. One more thing we the passenger also need to raise their voice. I have seen passengers simply accept the dirty and untidy bedrolls. When system are their they supposed to register their complain in prescribed format which is rightly available with TTE. I request all passenger please come forward to take some little pain to register such complains. Once mass complains get registered things bound to improve. It is also been noticed that sweeping contract supervisor get signature of the passenger in blank format and later they put their favourable rating on it and submit to the authority. I request all passenger please don't put your signature or pass on your ticket PNR to such supervisor, instead you put your rating correctly then sign and return back to supervisor. more
