Bajaj Insurance-failure to settle insurance claim
check and clarify terms and conditions of Bajaj Allainz Insurance,
We had taken overseas mediclaim insurance from bajaj alllianz insurance company for europe and norway,
unfortunately my wife and son met with an accident while doing snow mobile activity in tromso, norway and got hospitalized. we had to cut short our further trip and i had to extend my stay in tromso hotel. apart from loss of booked itinerary and flight tickets, i had to spend for extended stay in tromso hotel, everyday travel to and fro hospital, food, return flight tickets to oslo (for connecting flight), transfer to airport, hospitalization costs etc.
when back home, we informed the insurance company and forwarded our original bills for claim. after taking long time, we got a reply from the insurance company that our claim was rejected for the reasons that we stayed back and did not return home immediately on cancellation of further trip and that hospitalization cost were not covered for dangerous sport activities.
In short, while taking insurance, we are only provided with cover note. But during claims, the insurance company would read out fine prints of their terms and conditions and somehow reject paying claims amount. more

SIR I HAVE LODGED OFFICIAL COMPLIANT TO SEBI NSE BSE AND NSDL BUT TILL DATE THEY HAVE NOT TAKEN UP CASE FOR HEARING more

Be it SEBI or IRDA or Banking ect they all are the same. However, they all can be made accountable and act immediately and sincerely by following some simple rules. In our country, a public servant acts only when it threatens his job. Never go through the customer care phone numbers to lodge your complaint or seek redressal. Always write your complaint in a paper ( be it mobile, internet, tv digital service, insurance or bank) and handover in person to any of their outlet and obtain receipt on the duplicate copy with name, signature, seal and date. Initially the store or outlet may refuse acceptance by saying that it does not come under their purview but the legal position is very clear. They must accept it. Once an individual signs and accepts he will automatically ensure that it is forwarded to the concerned person and he himself will create a log of movement not to help you but to save his skin in case something goes wrong and the question of fixation of responsibility arises. I have my own experience in this matter with Airtel, vodafone and also state bank. Its better sweat a little in the initial stage than run from pillar to post for years at a later date. more

I have had similar experience with Banking Ombdusman, IRDA, TRAI..ALL OF THESE REGULATIRS ARE JUST A FARCE, WITH NO REAL INTENTION OF PUNISHING THE ERRANT , WHICH SIMPLY ENCOURAGES SERVICE PROVIDERS TO PROVIDE DEFECTIVE SERVICES TO CONSUMERS more

These Regulators are treated as a Reward for loyalty to the Minister or Party and are parking places for retired beaurocrats who were in the good books of their masters. Thus the functions they perform are perfunctory in nature . This is just a waste of money. LOOK AT SEBI. I have lodged numerous complaints on SCORES, the web site for complaints. SEBI just like postman, sends the complaints to same company against whom you have complained & treats the complaint as "Resolved" when Company gives a nonsensical reply! There is no further investigation by SEBI. THIS IS JUST FARCICAL MANNER OF RESOLUTION. YOU GET FRUSTRATED WITH SUCH REGULATORS. more
