People are not used to wait in long queue before ATM or bank. So, they are complaining

However, they do not mind when they have to stand in the queue for as long as twenty hours and over night to get admission for children in LKG class.

They stand in the queue for long time without complaining for getting cinema tickets or before ration shops or in temples.

People should understand the need to curb black money at any cost and put up with the pain of waiting before the bank for sometime for the sake of the country.

The problem may be for ten days and not for one hundred days.

Forget all these things... the same guys who are complaining now are the ones who waited endlessly to get their free fan, tv, mixie, grinder, gas etc... they are the guys who were first on the lines to collect the flood relief even though the areas where they live was not effected in any manner...this mindset needs to change. more
Reply to Shri Natarajan Kadayam Ramakrishnan comment dt.21/11/2016: The agreement signed by the card issuing bank and the Member Establishment whereby the latter agrees to honour cards and effect sales against them stipulates that the Member Establishment alone should pay the commission and not pass it on to the cardholder. However I have seen that some member establishments do charge commission flouting the agreement. Due to the competition between banks and some VIP Member Establishments I do not think that any action like reporting to Mastercard USA or Visacard has ever been done. Regards, L.Kalavathi Retd. Very good information by M/S. L.Kalavathy. If there is any legal document available we can take the violators in to task more
Digitization of payment is a slow process but Govt should pursue it vigorously. a) Every citizen should have a bank account. b) Increase POS dispensation by several manifold. c) Educate public about digital transaction d) Provide every account holder a ATM/Debit card by default don't keep it optional e) Make the charges for card transaction free or very nominal to the merchants otherwise merchants are reluctant to accept cards. f) Finally Announce a time frame and set a limit say Rs.One lakh above which any kind of cash transaction should be declared illegal more
The particular two complaints on Indian Bank, Ice House Branch needs to be clarified by the particular Branch Manager more
