One of my friend is continuously tortured , defamed and physically assaulted by his wife for last few years without any genuine cause. Please suggest suitable remedy available for him from the torture and defamation from his wife. more

Couple of questions- 1. How many years of marriage? 2. Who all stay in the house? Who's house is it anyways? 3. Child / Children? There are two approaches (however in both one should have everything on record, such as expenses, exchange of gifts, violence recorded, etc.) 1. Exit the marriage For this Hire a lawyer (speak to a few before finalising) File genuinely for Defamation, Assault, cheating, etc... 2. Look for solutions & make the marriage work For this A. Collect your friends & relatives, speak to her friends & relatives. Do a psychological counselling of your wife (assuming she is ill) or B. Find out who all are interested parties should she file a false case against you for the crimes she has committed (there are ample amount of false cases in our courts & many people are willing to listen & demand hefty alimony). Prepare yourself accordingly. Many a times, it is the parents / siblings of the wife who have needs (financial, otherwise),.. etc.. or C. Harassment on men by women are not taken seriously in the society. Inform people that you can genuinely trust. Find a social solution to it. Try to speak to your common friends (if any) more
