Awareness of Indian women of their rights is a must, but the protection must not be a blanket-freedom. Blanket freedom is always misused and abused as we have experienced over the decades in all other aspects - pee anywhere, spit anywhere, put up shop anywhere on the road or encroach upon any piece of land, take illegal water connection from the pipeline anywhere, etc. etc. Women are not exception to rule of decency, sincerity, honesty, humbleness, cheating, ....so on and so forth. Women are to be given equal treatment with certain exceptions, like, cannot be called the Police Station unaccompanied by a lady police officer and at odd hours, no arrest after sunset, not refusing acceptance of FIR online, and no time limit for them to file FIR. While women must be given the right to privacy in order to protect their modesty, but while recording their statements certain corroborative account has got to be produced before the courts as evidence. Statements of women cannot be accepted as gospel truth. Yes, in certain cases the identity of women survival or victims must be kept under wraps and must not be disclosed without permission. In case of sexual assaults, the victim and or her close relatives need to give a written application to conduct the required tests. more

Its good that you have identified or you want to be implemented. but when its comes to protection and safeguard , don't you feel that this should be applicable to all the human being and not on the based of gender or cast, because right from the beginning we are always in favor of case. more
