Times of India Delhi's unfair practice:Cheating readers
While we are discussing corrupt practices which Times of India is spearheading,let me show a mirror for them to relect upon. On 5th May, TOI(Delhi Edition) on Page:1(actually fist page was full page Ad) so it is page-3 technically,there was in blue offset color with white reverse print announcement that this edition came with 10 page Education Times pull out- cautioning readers not to miss out. Being in Education Industry I immediately searched for it & found the pull out missing. I called the vendor & found his cell swiched off. I sent him an sms immediately hoping he would have forgotten and would revert back. Late night I called him & luckily succeeded in getting him to respond. He told me he would speak with TOI Distributor & TOI incharge and revert back. He didn't and next day he dropped the morning paper and I called him again seeking the explanation. He told me that he had spoken with ZM of TOI and was awsiting his response and would pursue him further. Last night the ZM didn't respond to his call he said. I waited till 4:00 p.m.then published this miss out on Twitter..as an after thought I tagged TOI Editor & Dhansnjay Mohapatrea (TOI ace reporter). Nothing...no reaction. Next day again the vendor dropped the paper & immediately I rushed out & caught up with him. He told me he had spoken with ZM (Gaurav) & again he & his father are meeting him(7th May). Nothing..TOI seemed least bothered & the revealation on Twitter had no effect. Am now accessing & contemplating my next move. So you see how Big Corporate puffed with self pride & ego act? TOI reverted to my comment on Infosys HR post asking me to verify my email address which I did,but when I replied back on same ID regarding this matter,it bounced. more

Not a big issue. Perhaps you are not aware how newspapers are sent to the distributors. The main newspaper and the supplements are sent in different lots to the local distributors. They employ persons to arrange the newspapers in one set consisting of the number of pages in the issue. The supplements are then tagged to the main issue and the newspapers are stacked. Then the number of papers meant for circulation for a particular area are given to the local vendors for distribution. So the question of supplement missing is not the fault of the newspaper printers. In between there is a lot of exchange and that is how supplements go missing. As no one wants to take the blame, the ultimate blame goes to the main newspaper for not sending the supplements. So there is nothing to say if supplement is missing. If it is missing no problem. After all the supplements are dumped to the waste paper bin at the end of the day. more

i also had got a similar issue but it was on a sunday the extra supplement sheets was not given and when i asked the vendor he mentioned toi did not give and also informed the times of india rep for the area who does not care and did not take the call and sent a whatsapp message and then sent a mail to times on the same and as usual they mentioned they will ensure that it does not repeat but off and on it happens and it is a standard message from toi for any issue and they mentioned it will not repeat but let me tell you it keeps on repeating maybe not every week but maybe once in 2/3 months. more
