ON LINE purchases & HOME DELIVERY

The intention of making on-line purchase is to make ease in placing orders , getting good quality from a trusted online platform, cheap in price when compared to those in the local shops, delivery of goods at reasonable time as in the adv. But in reality the even trusted Online platforms do not give full details of the products they sell, namely MRP price/or discounted rate, date if expiry of the product, details of the product, whether warranty is available etc. These online platforms do ads., on hush-hush method, not even informing the full details of the products. On many occasions I was duped and realised after getting the product on hand that the purpose of the product is not properly informed, & the product is not as shown in the adv.,picture.Thus many online platforms try to cheat the buyers in giving substandard products, supplying some product other than shown in the adv., the prices at the time of delivery are not as given in the adv (if COD is prefered). As regards Groceries many leading online platforms do not give buyer a choice, and restrict the products that they show. We have no choice. For the above reasons even though the online sale of products and supplying them at the door step are very much need of the hour, many buyer hesitate to buy through them. The Govt.of India must enact adequate laws clamping the Online selling platforms to sell genuine products with correct price, if collected cost before delivery, must adhere the date of delivery. Will GOI do this immediately to save buyers and also to protect population from the COVED-19 spreading. more

PristynCare is a firm producing face mask, etc and I purchased Face shied from them at a cost of Rs660/- on 1st of June2020. They promised to send the product immediately and will inform about shipping through mail. But no information has been sent so far and when questioned they ask the order ID. How this behaviour? Hence do not trust online purchases until Govt.of India brings a control over the mode of advertisement with details, mode of desptch with time of desptch, and the price and guarantee period etc must be specified. more
Please read the MHA notification and keep a copy in your pocket. It clearly says Sr.Citizens should not go out unless it "is essential and necessary" What they want is old people to loiter around especially in a red zone area. At least try to follow instructions from authorities who are responsible for our well being. Complaining against anything (good or bad) is in our DNA.Please refrain from making a hill out of ****. M.Ramachandran Quality is what customer wants. Not that you can sell more
Well said.... more
Today I bought a product through Amazon. The delivery boy asked me to come to place to pick the product. I said that I am a Sr.citizen and hence cannot come to such a distance which is not familiar to me. After murmur and several enquiries about the location, at last he came and delivered. This is not the first time. Such refusal to come to Chennai citiy localities are not uncommon. When Amezon refused to deliver one product at the order stage itself that the my area is a red spot, another product was delivered without inhibition. more
I do not have a ready solution to the problem. I just expressed my understanding of the solution suggested, which is the Government to enforce business ethics in online marketplace. My experience so far of the Government interference in any enforcement of law is at best 'better than nothing'. In this backdrop I think an issue reported will not yield any meaningful result. As about posting the experience in social media - I surely think it is required. more
I don't know the basis of your opinion. I still feel my understanding of the ground situation is still the same. more
Such approach brings discredit to the Modiji and also brings sufferings to the online purchasing constomers. more
