Standard for Sound Level in Cinema Halls
There is urgent need for BIS to specify sound levels in dBs during exhibition of movies in cinema halls and during showing of advertising films.

There are many of these, but most common we face are by our community, religious and other functions,till midnight, high volume loudspeakers,and DJ , surrounding every one suffer, there is law against this, but people suffer more

When the Courts turn a deaf ear to the SC's Order and when police and legal authorities turn a blind eye to cracker bursting by looking the other way as they don't wan to be seen as being hard enforcers. When crackers are burst outside a political party's Office, the leader should be held responsible and either his votes should be made null and void...he should be debarred for 5 years. more

We are not targeting cinema halls. BIS is requested to set standards for exhibition of films both feature and advertising to prevent harm to health of viewers.

Here is one more, which is a nasty barbaric habit of bursting Crackers by the political parties for their victories and announce the arrivals of their Heroes . And the other one bursting crackers through the night . Though court has imposed restrictions , some still continue stealthily . more

Its true that many of the crackers cause harmful noise as well as air pollution. Passing orders alone would not be suffice in a country like ours to get the menia totally eradicated from our societies. While the court should ask for periodical progress reports from the authorities concerned, public participation is essential as well to eradicate any decades old rituals for ever. more
