Refund of Admission Fee by School
Blue Bells Public School, Sector 10, Gurgaon has taken admissions for Session 2015-16 in September 2014.
I have also submitted fee for my Child on 13/09/2014. but due my job circumstances i asked for refund of fees in Feb 2015 when admissions are still going on & they can easily offer the seat to some other student. But to my dismay School authorities has deducted Rs 40000/- out of Rs 108500/- saying this is processing fees.
School says they you are withdrawing admission so deduction will be made & same is mentioned in prospectus.
Though DEEO has ordered them for refund but school is not adhering to DEEO orders.
Is there any legal way out to get complete refund. more

1. The School has the basic right of deducting the Admission Fee which must include all incidentals for administration. 2. The prospectus and or the Receipt basically shall contain the amount of Admission Fee & in case of lapse of identification , you can add up as a clause in your request . 3. If you are a Government or a Private Employee subjected to transfer that lead to opt Refund , the Consumer Courts will entertain your appeal and in such case the consumer forum will also direct the Institution to consider relaxation of Admission Fee to a maximum extent . 4. If you are in the same Town and joining your child in the same Town , even the Court will not apply the issue natural justice to reduce the Admission fee deduction please . more

The Consumer Fora of Delhi State are not bound to follow the Bangalooru case. They are bound to follow the decisions of National Commission and Supreme Court. Obtain copies of the order and file an appeal. more

Hi Narayana Sir, I have filed a case in Gurgaon consumer court showed then citation of Bangalore consumer court but they simply didn't listened and discarded my case. please suggest what to do now more

Sorry.No such directions are given.There is one judgment of the Supreme Court which says that education is not within the purview of Consumer Protection Act but there are several judgments stating that the CF Act will apply. Consumer Forum cannot simply say that a complaint will not be accepted.Press for a written order and go on appeal. more
