Rate Goa Traffic Police

Police name should give feeling of safety not fear to common needy man.On duty we do see many not all talking ,texting and watching mobile.On duty one is supposed to deliver assigned job. Cooperation of public is must for betterment of traffic and strict enforcement of rules is must for safety of public. Every offender whoever may be should be booked. Abroad we do see officers,politicians and leaders are being booked for violation of traffic rules irrespective of social status. What is needed in Goa is this department should not work under telephonic orders of politicians may be a minister or MP or MLA. more  

Two helpful suggestions. (1) institute a proper driving test, let everyone know what they will be required to do.dismiss anyone taking a bribe in order to pass a person. (2) request young police officers not to be afraid to do the job,To always wear there hats and not to use the cellphone all the time. It is an awful job to control traffic but if a person takes the job he must be prepared to do it properly. more  

If brain behind this app wants results with unbiased input from common men then every post has to be screened and feedback should be provided with a certain time frame for needful action failing to which will loose interest of common men in it. I witness every day open violations of traffic rules at least regularly at Amona-Marcel-Corlim route. This area is sand,quarry and laterite stone belt. Here heavy traffic with mad rush continues day and night without proper cover and precautions , risking life of others. Spillage of sand,stones on the road a common occurrence causing accidents to following vehicles. Sand disturbs two wheelers vision and skidding. Adding to it minibuses making sudden stops that too at unusal places.Mad race for passenger another cause of accident. I have to MP and north states for years but not come across such toothless police any where like at Goa.Here buses are moving in and out of state capital without proper lights,indicators,number plates, route display board and uniform for driver and conductors. I have sent many communications to RTO,pollution board ,traffic police but no action has been taken. If we want a safe and clean Goa then you have to work on this area. Goa will be a safe state gor traffic only if authorities check indiscipline of mini buses. These are killing machines on the road. If any authority of public road safety look in to following points ,it will find n numbers as defaulters which in any other state if India would have been off the road but in Goa any offender has got direct number of minister concerned and gets away scotch free. Tail lights not working Break lights not working Side indicators not working/not used. Making stop at any turn, junction without any warning or indication. Driving at30kmp when vehicle is empty and off hours. Driving rash in peak hours. Overtaking from left. Leave aside about passenget capacity, treatment to passengerS. Can any body start some action based upon this? more
