I had planned a holiday with my family and relations to Kerala from 26th to 29th.March.The same had to be cancelled because of the current situation. Since our tickets were by train I cancelled the tickets about a week ago and naturally had to pay the cancellation charges. Subsequently all the train services were cancelled and the Railways had notified that there will be no cancellation charges. When I approached the IRCTC in this regard they told me that since the tickets were cancelled prior to the cancellation of trains I am liable bear the cancellation charges. I thought this was a little unfair on the passengers. more
