Poor Judiciary
I had rented 1 BHK flat for one of the Nigerian family. on 7th July 2018 police raided the house and said that the family did not have passport and filed an FIR against the head of the Nigerian family. The worst part is that person’s visa and passport was confiscated by one of the police stations in Bengaluru. My bad luck is the police also framed a case on me saying I have rented the house for foreigners without passport, however I had collected the copies of their passport and had signed a legal rental agreement.I reached out to the high court of Karnataka for quashing the case and heard that my name is not in the charge sheet, but the judge in the lower court will issue a warrant if I don’t attend a hearing. The case has no progress past one year and we are just attending the case every month. Please advise more

Perhaps FIR is the head of the Nigerian family and you can't request H C for quashing. Charge sheet if filed in the court against you, trail court judge may hear you and decide as per law. more

it is very very unfortunate that we have police who can ensure that an innocent person languishes in jail and a hard core criminal keeps on roaming freely. Judiciary has no eyes and sentiments and are forced to follow the police version. what we as a common man require is efficient policing and effective judiciary, which is a nightmare as long as the present dispensation continues. more

Mr. Anthony Kiran: Did this lady lawyer get you to sign the writ & vakaltnama? Court proceedings have been computerised and you can go to https://karnatakajudiciary.kar.nic.in to check whether your case was filed by that lady lawyer. Similarly you can visit https://ecourts.gov.in/ecourts_home/ and locate your court status, & download copies of the orders. more

Again a poor middle class is most likely will be ruined legally only because he may not be able to afford a costly lawyer or buy justice.Poor fellow.Best of luck. more
