Mr. Sanjay Kumar, as I understand, there is a need for Govt regulation on fee that can be charged. I believe this already exists. more
Crux of topic is high fees unbearable to parents , it is mismanagement and greed of private body as there is no guidelines is defined from central government to the level of enhancement , one individual is in a position to manipulate and earn more bucks thru unscrupulous means this is where fees structure is exploited , thee is need to do home work by education ministries to control this , as without legal works imposed , mind set never changed more
Firstly, my apologies to Urvi. When I wrote "how do you propose" I meant to address it to all viewers. Secondly, There is a dichotomy which we can see if we step out of the disturbance being caused by the hike in school fee and teachers wages. Wages in the corporate world differ from company to company and also on capability. Likewise there is a differential in wages in schools. Quality of education is not the same across schools. Incidentally, as a rule, teachers wages come from ONLY the Tuition Fee paid by students. To me the second point is a reality. Suggestion - The Govt fixes the salaries of all teachers, Govt and private schools. The Govt fixes the tuition fee for a year and pays a subsidy for each child, regarding of background, directly to the school. This is based on the attendance of the child and is ratified by the PTA. This includes freeships for the weaker section of society. This would alleviate, to some extent, the burden of fee being charged. Additionally, if this is done till 12th, we can even do away with reservations thereafter. Of course the suggestion is open to being trashed, ripped apart etc. :-) more
Salary has never and will never have to do with quality education. Scholars from village too get admission in IITs. more
