Food Safety in Karnataka - Inputs Sought

We would like to seek your inputs on what are the various issues you see in regards to food safety in your city in Karnataka. These could be in regards to artificial ripening, packaged food, food product itself, restaurant hygiene levels, street food, adulteration, etc.
We would also look at how district food safety officials can be given access to the circle followed by a city level food safety/consumer circle in your city.

Provide safe anti-cockroach and anti-rodent sprays in all food districts of cities, towns, villages and busy bus stand / railway areas. more

In India, there are lot many street vendors who cook Veg ad Non veg foods, the sorrounding environment are so shabby that most of the health Inspectors Ignore, most of the street vendors should be updated with Hygiene or they should scale it up into small restaurants or fast foods, more

you know I was wondering since PM Modi said he will create employment, the easiest method is to hire persons for such government policy enforcement work. Obviously there arent enough food inspectors to go around. Maybe put more people officials on ground with area wise segregation so they are responsible and accountable and to whom reports of violation can be made by the general public. more
