Do you think Uniform law is urgent need of Country .

Uniform law should be such that it will end all special status of citizen , Uniform law will remove all caste creed religion base of Citizen . It will treat all as Indian . Facilities to disabled and poor /needy citizen will be there to any one who comes in that criteria . Uniform law will make our constitution as ideal one . Do we need it ? what are difficulties in establishing it ? why it is not being established by Parliament ? Why citizen are being asked about their caste / religion still in this scientific era? Are we still adopting old systems ? do you think , our present system is not ideal considering uniformity and equality of society . Are we divided ? Do you think , our system is resulting in discrimination among citizen.

Need of uniform civil code need no further emphasis but can we have it? The society in which we are living has been divided based on caste, creed, religion, region and even gender. Our constitution, education, jobs opportunity, representatives etc have been divided. Divide and rule adopted by the Britishers is being followed religiously by our govt as it serves their purpose. Hence the Govt irrespective of any party or affiliation will not be readily agree to have Uniform civil code. more
Today's S.C. verdict on 497 exempts Adultery under Constitutionally preferred Equality and Equal Application of Law. But, Socially, it increases EASY AND FAST DIVORCE ; WHILE IN OTHER WAY INCREASE KILLINGS AND EVEN MURDERS AT THE QUESTION OF SANCTITY OF WOMEN MODESTY AND CONSENSUS. Since this is the vitally valid moral concept of Indian traditional and ancient generations, definitely inspire them as well as those hailed in and, the final debate tenders for IMPLEMENTATION OF UNIFORM LAW or, the Uniform Civil Code that was mandated through Article 44. more
1. S.Sri Krishnan, Prakash, Sasikanth rightly shared. ' let there be a session' = "unless we follow this, we will always be lagging in our lives" = 'politicians are hailing with it to DIVIDE the society on vote bank politics' ARE REAL ISSUES TO BE FAST CONCLUDED REFORMING THE NEEDED strictly under and as per mandates of our Constitution. 2. There was a recent news that National Law Commission opined that there is no need of Uniform Civil Code and, some relevant issues of different Laws if amended , will also serve . BUT, THIS VERSION APPEARS TO BE BASED ON TAKING ONLY THE ISSUE OF MARRIAGE as also somebody shared in this Post. 3. Infact, the issue of Uniform Civil Law as well as the objective of UNIFORM CIVIL CODE have too-fold applications for a Uniform Law through the Country that address all Civic and Civil issues keeping away totally the issues of RELIGIONS and CASTES in the method, system, application and operation of the Constitution that totally compiled based on Civics and Civility ; Humanity and Morality ; Fraternity and Universality in general. SIGNIFICANTLY AND WHY, ARTICLE 44 WAS ADOPTED due to lack of Time to compile this Uniform Civil Code. Sri Rao's Report also was set for computation of only a part for adoption due to this Time pressure. 4. Hence, there is absolute need for compiling and concluding Uniform Law in the Country for uniformity , fraternity at equality and equal opportunity for Adequate Means of Livelihood. 5. Conclusively , we should be cautions of discussions in Sessions on this issue highlighting the above points 2 and 3. more
Very good topic for a debate! If india need to improve in front of the world, we need a UNIFORM CIVIL CODE, thereby all reservations will end. Reservation system stated for 10 years... today it has crossed 70years, there is no sign of ending the same! More and more corrupted politicians are hailing with it to DIVIDE the society on vote bank politics.....! I very strongly support for a Uniform Civil Code. more
Kudos for your revolutionary thought. I fully support this. Religion has a special place in our lives and one should be free to select his own religion. Common code of conduct is what is required and unless we follow this, we will always be lagging in our lives. The biggest obstruction in implementing this is our dear politicians, whose vote bank is based on this divide and rule theory. more
