BSNL network down - Election results?

BSNL has sent a message stating that due to Election results Bangalore is down. Doesn't this sound insane, that too at this time when citizens are eager to know the result of their vote? And Bangalore shows off as the Tech capital, IT hub, Silicon valley etc. more

We have removed all BSNL landlines in our homes, offices and even our relatives houses. I don't know any one who uses BSNL except for large industries and government offices. However, government office landline never works or usually wrong number. more
My personal experience is that BSNL can be down for prolonged periods of time as their support staff is very small in number compared to its competition and therefore their support team takes a very long time to resolve complaints. This is what their customer base is very small. more
yes any service oriented from govt is non existent whichever govt comes to power. The mind set created by the rule of 60 years of inefficiency cannot be erased in a few years by any govt so better avoid it for better sense.if govt had been responsive then people themselves would have gone for it and supported the same. That is how private sectors have benefitted the have seen how inefficient is govt in the service sectors and tapped the same for their benefit and it is not that they are giving great service or with technology but as one may call it One man's poison is other man's food every year govt is infusing so much tax payers money to keep bsnl etc alive for what god only knows more
We gave up on BSNL about 8 years ago. They have not yet returned our advance amount for all our landlines. Suggest drop such ineffective government players. Private players are cheaper and perform better. more
