Dear Resident of Haryana,
I have earlier brought out a post titled "Alleged malpractices by DHBVN (a State PSU Discom in Haryana) for new electrical connection" in this circle on 7th July 2020. After doing an extensive study on the DHBVN practices in providing a new connection vis a vis the regulations of the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission, I have brought out a detailed study and brought out the same on my blog. It is seen that DHBVN is adapting to corrupt practices and deceiving the consumers of their hard-earned money. Prior to publishing the article, a draft was shared with all concerned officials for commenting/submitting their views. The company could not submit their views for the reasons best known to them.
This article has already been shared with the senior officials and the management as well Haryana State Electricity Regulatory Commission by email for taking appropriate action against the officials and the company for gross violation of rules and regulations. Henceforth I am planning to come out with articles for each of the services associated with Electricity. The readers may like to assist me in posing the problems they are facing with electricity companies.
The members who are interested may kindly go through the report and spread the message so as to curb the corrupt practices. You may also like to comment / your views therein. more

@Sushma Aggarwal, During one of my telephonic call, DHBVN confirmed paying interest on deposits. It has to be paid in the first bill of the Financial Year for the previous year. Can you check in the previous years bill. If not, then I will be seeking information under RTI Act. Incidentally, the DHBVN finally installed the new connection with the service cable provided by them. I have already requested HERC to investigate the fraudulent activities of service cables. Shortly in about a weeks period I am planning to submit a RTI applications. Anyone can advise me the questions for which the information can be sought. more

It is very true that there are malpractices. Even Electricity Department Haryana is not paying interest on Security held by them despite Regulatory Commission advice to pay the interest to all having connection. Needless to say security is deposited by every connection holder. more
