Mumbai Police

I am factory owner and my tempo is running Dahanu NH 8 to Vasai and Dahanu to Nahwashewa for export shipment every trip he pay Rs 100/= for Vasai and Rs.250/= for Thana police entry Though our documents are in order. Most of the time traffic police hide at the signal and wait for driver to make mistake some time I notice they play with signal timings and so driver loose
passions and break the signal.

I will not put all the blame on police but yes there are many incidents where they ignore or dont control the traffic.In kandivali lots of rikshaws running on sharing and carrying 5 passengers but duty officers ignore these facts.

I Agree 100%. Seems their objective is to collect revenue and not maintain traffic discipline for convenience of others drivers and pedestrians.

WE ALL WERE HAPPY ON SEEING THAT THE CAMERAS WERE INSTALLED AT TRAFFIC SIGNALS.
FOR A FEW DAYS, WE WERE HAPPY TO NOTE THAT TRAFFIC HAD STARTED BEHAVING IN A DISCIPLINED MANNER AND FOLLOWING SIGNALS.

OF LATE WE OBSERVE THAT MOTORBIKES AND RIKSHAWS HAVE AGAIN STARTED IGNORING SIGNALS AND WEAVE THEIR WAY THRO MOVING TRAFFIC EVEN WHEN THEIR SIGNAL IS RED. THIS POSE SERIOUS DANGER TO THEM AS ALSO OTHER DRIVERS.

THE IMPACT OF CAMERAS AT SIGNALS IS LOST !!.
MAY I ASK THE TRAFFIC POLICE AS TO WHY IT IS SO?
ARE WE NOT MANAGING TRAFFIC THRO CAMERAS? IDENTIFYING SIGNAL BREAKERS AND PENALIZING THRO ELECTRONIC CHALLANS?
ARE WE NOT ABLE TO PUNISH AND FINE SIGNAL BREAKERS AS SMARTLY SHOWN IN YOUR PROMOS ?

PLEASE IMPOSE DISCIPLINE ELSE THOSE LAW ABIDING CITIZEN WILL SEE NO GAIN IN WAITING FOR SIGNALS TO TURN GREEN. AND ROADS WILL TURN TO CHAOS CAUSING ACCIDENTS.

TRAFFIC POLICE NEED TO ACT FAST.

Police is seen near the traffic signals, but hardly for controlling the traffic, but to catch offenders secretly.
