need more effort to have better traffic mgmt in mumbai . Lot of parking along road side causing traffic congestion.

Traffic management in Mumbai is patchy. Classic example if RA Kidwai Road from Kings Circle (Maheshwari Udyan) to Sewri. Could be very convenient route for fast ride but for illegal parking on all lanes including fast lanes, including just at traffic signals and right outsider R A KIdwai Road police station. Whilst honest citizens end up paying fines for jumping a red light, many brazenly get away for years together! Grateful if top guys in MTP give a serious and honest thought for addressing this.

As mentioned and elaborated in suggestion to MAPOSE, the grass root changes are required. Some of them are good pay package, state of the art technology and gadgets and arms to ground level staff, non-interference of politics, responsibilities with authority and accountability, social status, spot evidence gathering technology, increasing force, army training, etc. etc.
I believe if we address the basic route causes, we will see the sea change.
